The Addams Family is. pretty bad. The year's worst animated movie ? Certainly. And. Hum. All things considered, I still had a good time watching The Addams Family! It is a little weird with its' story structure (imagine an entire story arc of a new tv show squeezed into one movie, though it's not as bad as other examples. You understand, I am very mixed. This may look like a move for children but it is not. It is filled with a lot of dark and adult humor. Children at best wouldn't get the jokes and at worst could be disturbed by some. It has a lot of social commentary which isn't even that subtle. The pacing is a bit odd in the last third of the movie, but that doesn't affect the watching experience as it's made to be a really dumb dark comedy. If you like horror in general you will probably enjoy this. It only gets a bad rep due to people mistaking it for a children's movie which it most certainly it is not.
